“Deadline August 11!!!” Kane agrees transfer deadline date with Munich…”We are still in talks with Tottenham”
Harry Kane has set a final date to finalize a move to Bayern Munich, it has been revealed.
Kane has been the subject of intense interest from soccer fans as he looks set to leave Tottenham ahead of the 2023/24 season. Kane is Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, but the club’s eighth-place finish in the 2022/23 season and failure to qualify for a UEFA competition has led to speculation that he could be looking to move on in search of trophies.
One club that approached Kane with a desire to win was Munich. The Bavarians have been without a frontline striker since the departure of Robert Lewandowski, and have since faltered in both the league and Champions League in the 2022/23 season.
In the summer transfer window, they brought in Konrad Reimer, Raphael Guerreiro, and Kim Min-Jae to try and make up for last season’s disappointment, with Kane as their top target to bolster their forward line.
However, convincing Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who is rumored to be a difficult man, was not an easy task. Reputedly wanting more than £100 million, Levy rejected Munich’s first offer of €70 million and a second offer of €80 million with an option for €114.5 million.
Negotiations continued, but it was not easy to convince Tottenham. The Munich hierarchy even traveled to London for talks, only to return to their club with a difference in transfer fee.
According to global sports outlet The Athletic, “Munich and Tottenham had a £25 million ($41 billion) difference in their valuation of Kane during talks on Monday. Representatives from both clubs have discussed a move for Kane and discussions are set to continue,” explaining that the talks failed to agree on a transfer fee.
Despite Munich’s decision to pay £100 million, Tottenham still had no answer. “Kane is expecting his future to be decided this weekend, with Munich offering Spurs a £86m transfer fee,” said British outlet The Sun, adding, “Munich are hoping the deal will be resolved by the end of the week. With a further option of £17 million, Munich’s offer exceeds £100 million.”
Levy was uncomfortable with the fact that Munich had delivered a final offer in excess of £100 million and were pressuring him to make a decision. According to Sport, “Munich were visibly pressing for a deal for Kane. Levy didn’t like it and had to be angry once again,” he said.
“Tottenham are said to feel they are being put under unnecessary pressure, and Levy was not happy. It remains to be seen if Tottenham will accept Munich’s new offer. However, 스포츠토토 Munich are waiting for an answer by the end of the week,” explaining that the Bavarians’ attitude of waiting for an answer by the end of the week has put pressure on Tottenham.
Sport Bild added: “Levy has created a crazy twist in the Kane negotiations. In their last offer, Munich asked Kane for
