Jeong Jung-yong takes the helm of Gimcheon Sangmu.

Gimcheon announced on Saturday that it has appointed Jung Jung-yong as its second head coach.

Chung took charge of the U-20 national team in 2019, leading them to their first-ever runner-up finish at a FIFA-organized tournament. He also led Seoul Eland FC for three seasons from November 2019 to the end of 2022.

If Cho Young-wook, the U-20 runner-up, and U-20 teammates Lee Ji-sol, Uhm Won-sang, and Jeong Ho-jin, all of whom are on the first round of the ’23 2nd Armed Forces Athletes (Military)’ list, are accepted, the team will once again be expected to work in synergy.
“I was appointed in the middle of the season, so I have a lot of responsibility. I will do my best as a coach to achieve the K League 2 championship and K League 1 promotion that all fans are looking forward to.”

Jung will take charge of the team on June 1 and will make his managerial debut on June 4 against the Jeonnam Dragons away from home. 안전놀이터
