Michy Batshuayi says “it would be a dream to wear a Real shirt”… but Tottenham fans are not impressed

One of Tottenham Hotspur’s most famous failed signings, Thierry Henry, dreams of moving to Real Madrid.

According to “The Sun” in England on Friday (local time), the Frenchman said that Real is his “dream club”. He also expressed his desire to move to Real. This is because the departure of Karim Benzema (Al Ittihad) has left a gaping hole in Real’s defense.

Also, Carlo Ancelotti is the manager of Real. He was coached by Ancelotti at Everton. The coach who knows him so well is now the Real manager. He is waiting for the offer to come.

“Every player wants to wear a Real shirt,” he says, “it’s the biggest team in the world, but I have a contract with them now.” He wants to move to Real, but it’s physically difficult because he’s currently under contract with Tottenham.

“I called Ancelotti the other day, but nothing happened. We became very close at Everton. This relationship will be forever,” he said, adding that he and Ancelotti had only exchanged pleasantries.

“It’s a dream to wear a Real shirt. It’s every player’s dream,” but added: “I have to prove why I came to Tottenham for a big transfer fee. It’s been a bad season because of injuries,” he said, adding that his priority now is to show his quality at Tottenham.

Tottenham fans reacted to his comments with cynicism. Some were sarcastic and accusatory. “He’ll end up at Luton,” one fan wrote, suggesting he’d rather move to a weaker club to finish his career.

He joined Tottenham from Everton for €58 million last summer and was touted as a first-choice striker. But he hasn’t lived up to expectations, scoring one goal and providing four assists in 27 English Premier League appearances due to repeated injuries.
