Oh Hyun-kyu, who was ‘preliminary’, advances to Europe as a 3.8 billion player with ‘transfer fee jump’

Oh Hyeon-gyu (Suwon Samsung), who was a reserve member at the Qatar World Cup, made it to the European stage. 

Sky Sports reported on the 23rd (Korean time), “Celtic has agreed to sign striker Oh Hyun-gyu for a transfer fee of 2.5 million pounds (3.8 billion won). He currently plays for Suwon Samsung in Korea, but the final move is near.”

He continued, “Hyeon-gyu Oh has also reached an oral agreement on personal terms. The transfer will be finalized within a few days.” 

Oh Hyun-kyu, who made his professional debut by signing a semi-professional contract with Suwon in 2019, joined Sangmu relatively early and solved military problems. 안전놀이터 Oh Hyun-gyu scored 13 goals in 2021 and established himself as a key striker for Suwon Samsung. 

Although Oh Hyun-gyu did not participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he joined as a reserve member and received great expectations. 

Celtic has been speculating Oh Hyun-gyu since early December last year. Suwon also did not respond to the negotiations at first, saying that it would protect Oh Hyun-kyu, but changed its mind due to Celtic’s persistent courtship and Oh Hyun-kyu’s willingness to advance into Europe.

The transfer fee also jumped more than 1 billion won from the level of 2 million euros (2.7 billion won) initially proposed. Oh Hyeon-gyu, who did not receive great expectations, has a new dream.
