SSG Ryu Seon-gyu, resigned after leading the combined championship “I did my duty”

SSG Landers general manager Ryu Seon-gyu resigned from his position.

On the morning of the 12th, general manager Ryu Seon-gyu was reported to have communicated his intention to voluntarily resign to the Shinsegae Baseball Team. 

Director Ryu, who joined the LG Twins club in 1997 as an employee, moved to SK Wyverns in 2001 and held key positions in the club, such as 토토사이트 the public relations team, operation team, data team, marketing team, and strategic planning team, before becoming the general manager in November 2020.  

After the acquisition of Shinsegae, Ryu, who became the first general manager of SSG Landers and retained the general manager position, worked hard to stabilize the team power by directing the recruitment of free agents and non-FA multi-year contracts. And this year’s regular season wire-to-wire championship and the Korean Series championship, the first integrated championship under the name of SSG was achieved.

After leaving the team he had been with for 21 years, general manager Ryu Seon-kyu said, “My goal was to rebuild the team within two years. I won the championship this year, so I think I’ve done my job.”
